Despite the blister popping and the rather bummed mood I was in when I arrived in Boadilla del Camino, I was in a good mood while I walked and I took some pretty cool pictures this stage.  I remember this stage being beautiful and full of vistas.  It is also where I truly felt like I was on the Meseta.

A panorama of Castrojeriz and the castle ruins.

A statue of Mary and Jesus in Castrojeriz.

After leaving Castrojeriz what did I see?  Another hill?  Why?

A marker at the top of the hill outside Castrojeriz.
Note the embossed shell at the top of the obelisk. |

The view on the other side of the hill.  For me this is the real start to the Meseta.
These and other pictures of my Camino have been added to my
2011 Camino de Santiago Google Photos album.
Lovely, as always.
