Camino De Santiago - Pictures - Getting To Saint Jean Pied De Port

During my travels from Madrid to Saint Jean Pied de Port I took some pictures but, frankly, few were impressive.  (Fortunately I was able to spend a day in Madrid at the end of my Camino to make up for what I missed.  Those pictures will be posted later.)  After receiving my bag in Saint Jean Pied de Port I did go out and walk around the town and managed to get some pictures.  Here are a few of my favorites.
The 17th century Citadel overlooking Saint Jean Pied de Port.   Used to defend France from Spain.
Today it houses a school.
View of Saint Jean Pied de Port from the Citadel.
A shell pattern, the symbol of the Camino de Santiago (Saint James), in the street
on the way out of old town Saint Jean Pied de Port.
A shell sign over an Albergue (Pilgrim's hostel) in Saint Jean Pied de Port.
I have put these pictures, along with others I took in Saint Jean Pied de Port, in my 2011 Camino de Santiago Google Photos album. As I add more Camino posts I will add more pictures to this group.
