I've said before that the holiday season begins with Thanksgiving. We usually start our holiday decorating after Thanksgiving though, if you've been reading Homer's Travels you know
we started a few days early this year. This year, we need all the holiday cheer we can muster.

This morning I put the big balls in the oak tree out front. This has been an annual tradition for several years now. It's not as easy as it once was as the oak tree is growing taller every year.

The afternoon was dedicated to putting up the Christmas Tree in our family room. We may only put lights on it this year - no guests or festivities planned at our house this year.

I have to say, I like the simplicity of just the lights and the star topper.
